Territory Analysis and Housing Strategy

V.N.Gaia . Portugal

Urban planning has proved to be of extreme importance in an intervention that tries to meet the diverse needs of Sandim’s population, and also to find a viable solution architecturally and in terms of economic efficiency for a customer who owns several lands in the area. A long and rigorous process of research involved the analysis of the place, the identification and survey of each land to see where is possible to build and what, and even the execution of a questionnaire to locals in order to know what type of household family exists there, their intentions in professional terms, and what elements they consider to be missing. The collecting of all this information indicates that a higher offer of trade and services to the population may be the best investment and, at the same time, an increase in the environment´s value.
